A little bit about recolligo

Recolligo was founded with inspiration from my grandmother, who just loved to gather and collect antiquities. So, the Latin word recolligo, meaning 'to gather, to collect' seemed a perfect name, which I think Olive would have liked.

I am lucky to live on the edge of the English Lake District with my partner Andrew, a Landscape Gardener who steps in to help with recolligo. Together we have a joint interest in antiques and books; sometimes, too many books! We have always deemed ourselves as a pair of anachronisms, as we enjoy taking side steps in time by exploring and surrounding ourselves with antiques. Likewise, we think this will be a collector’s trait, and the interest in antiques can only be applauded for the positive impact upon preservation and sustainability.
