J Herbin Paris 'S' Vintage Ink Bottle

Item Description

The design of J. Herbin bottles is part of their charm and collectability. Standard bottles feature molded pen rests, while anniversary and promotional bottles may have heavier glass, distinctive wax seals, or decorative strings.

This lovely, vintage,  bottle has the molded pen rest feature, coupled with a silver hallmarked bottle screw top.  I assume this has been a commissioned piece with the marriage of the art of the silversmith, coupled with the classic design of the Herbin 'D' shaped glass bottle.

The base of the glass bottle is stamped with J Herbin Paris 'S' manufactures mark.

It contains some black ink - used.

The condition is good and has wear and tear attributed to age.

A perfect gift for those who love the J Herbin historical ink brand.
