Item Description

A Wedgwood Blue Jasperware Cup and Saucer with white bas-relief neoclassical figures. Known for the uniquely smooth, non-glossy surface, Jasperware has been popular with collectors since initially introduced in the 18th century. 

Saucer is stamped with 1956 makers mark.

Jasperware is noted as being heavier than porcelain and has s distinctive, slightly rough surface. Hand wash only and do not use harsh abrasives .Uniquely smooth, non-glossy surface.

There are no visible chips, cracks or repairs, although there are small marks on the unglazed areas, attributed to age and wear and tear. These minor imperfections do not detract from the overall beauty of the piece, which remains a stunning example of craftsmanship and artistry.

Dimensions
Cup measurements - 8.3cm diameter and 5.5cm high. .
Saucer measurements - 14cm diameter.
